Children in school years 3-6 meet in a club known as Galaxy. Galaxy starts in Church House at 10.20am for a time of worship. This is a opportunity for all the Sunday Clubs to gather together to worship God in ways that are accessible for children and young people.

We have our own space in church - front row seats! And we have specially designed Communion books to help us follow the service when we come back into church at the Peace.

All our Sunday Clubs follow the same teaching material from Scripture Union which is great if you have children in the different aged clubs as they'll all be learning about the same story and Biblical truth.

Galaxy Time

Come along to Galaxy – the group is for children in school years 3, 4, 5 and 6. The group meets most Sunday mornings during the Family Communion Service. Galaxy is led by Jacqui Harney and Nina Arcuri, with help from Aileen Hullah. Our aim is to have a fun learning experience which helps children to have a personal relationship with God, understand the Bible and develop their faith.  We play games, do fun craft activities and share Bible stories together. We also do show and tell, which is a chance for everyone to say what is happening in their lives. When we come into Church, Galaxy follows the Family Communion Service;  this is a great way for the Sunday Clubs to connect with the rest of the congregation.

Galaxy leaders

Jacqui Harney

"My name is Jacqui Harney and I am a leader for Galaxy. I am mum to two teenagers who keep me busy, when I’m not working at a local primary school."

Nina Arcuri

"Hi! I'm Nina! I am one of the leaders for Galaxy. I have been coming to St Mary's Church for a good number of years now (too many to count!). I thoroughly enjoy being involved with the Sunday Clubs - it all started as a helper when my son was small then it seemed to progress to being a leader very quickly!"
