Knit and Knatter
Every third Thursday – Front Room – 10 – 11.30am
Knit and Knatter for Charity was set up by St Mary’s Mothers’ Union for anyone who wishes to knit for a variety of charitable causes. So far, we have contributed scarves, mittens and hats for the Mission to Seafarers, Easter chicks and bunnies for the Deaf Access stall, baby hats, blankets and cardigans for a hospital in Tanzania and coats and blankets for Battersea Dogs’ home. We meet on the third Thursday of each month from 10am to 11.30am in the Front Room of Church House. Although knitting can go on in our own homes, sometimes enthusiasm is lacking and we need to be encouraged by others to keep going. Hence the idea of getting together socially with our knitting.
