News from Revd. Andrew McClellen about Bromley Youth Net

Dear friends

It was great to see so many young people at our LIVE Games Night on Sunday 16th May.

The next event in our new Bromley Youth Net programme will be Sunday (6th June) with a game of Rounders in the Park.  The session will begin at 6.30pm and END AT 7.30.  The meeting place is the south end of King's Meadow by the Minster Road entrance.

We have carefully assessed the risks of this activity and would like to draw your attention to the following special hygiene measures we will be taking:

- we will be playing a variant of rounders using a football and NO BAT - the 'batter' has to KICK the ball into the outfield before running

- hand sanitiser will be available and we will encourage each person to use it at the start and end of the session

- we will encourage everyone to keep a distance of 1m from each other as far as possible before, during and after the game

- people will not be required to wear face coverings or gloves but they are welcome to bring and use them if preferred

- we will not be serving any refreshments at this event but each young person is welcome to bring their own snack (which is not to be shared)

Please let me know if your child(ren) would like to attend.  As always, young people are welcome to bring up to three friends each, but obviously please make sure they are aware of the above points.

Looking further ahead, sessions this term will take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, so after this Sunday we are meeting on:

- 6th and 20th June

- 4th and 18th July

Thanks and all the best - hope you stay safe and healthy

Andrew
